Bryn has been cartooning full time since 1985 when he decided to leave the Royal Green Jackets and turn his hobby into a new career. He had no formal training but always enjoyed drawing and was asked to paint a picture that was used as a Regimental Christmas Card in 1983.

Bryn - Country Sports That was followed by several pictures for the Australian army which were well received and led him to think that he might be able to try painting full time. He resigned his commission in the Royal Green Jackets and came home from teaching jungle warfare in Queensland to a very uncertain future.

Today Bryn is probably our foremost sporting cartoonist. Best known for his field sports work and countryside caricatures. His work regularly appears in The Field, Horse and Hound, The Shooting Times and The Shooting Gazette. In 2007 Bryn and his wife Emma decided to raise awareness for the casulties of war, this fund raising event snowballed and Help for Heroes was formed for which Bryn and Emma were invested with the OBE in the Queen's Birthday Honours for their services to charity on 25 November 2010.
